The College Planning and Development Council Abbreviated (CPDC) of Govt. Degree College concerned is established in the name of College Planning and Development Council of Dr.Y.S.R. Govt. Degree College as per the resolution of staff council.
OBJECTIVES:
- To create a suitable environment and a mechanism for community participation in the planning and development of Government college without interfering with their rules and regulations of functioning.
- To create a mechanism whereby public contributions can be mobilized for the development of Government colleges.
- To act as an active medium between the college and the community for mutual benefit.
- To enable the community to advise and assist in introducing relevant courses of study in the college, based on the felt needs of the areas and to improve the quality of education.
- To create the right climate for academic, cultural, social service oriented activities in the college for the benefit of the students.
POWERS AND FUNCTION OF THE CPDC:
- To work for the furtherance of the objective of the CPDC as mentioned in the elsewhere.
- To manage the CPDC and to decide on the admission of members and filling of casual vacancies.
- To generate separate CPDC fund and to utilize the CPDC fund solely in furtherance of the objectives.
- To operate money matters by opening a separate account for CPDC fund in a nationalized bank.
- To prepare a detailed plan, with annual budgetary allocations for college development and two extra programs.
